Your personal data
Your contact details (name, email address and so on) are stored in our database so that Loppos works quickly and reliably. Your data is processed in accordance with the guidelines of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and can be changed or deleted at any time on your request.
When you create an account and use Loppos, the personal data you have provided is stored so you can log in, save favourites and get a personalised experience. Additional information processed includes, for example, which finds and shops you've saved, which pages and finds you've clicked on, and images you upload for valuation. Loppos also processes your IP address, geographic information and other data we receive in connection with your visit to our website or in the app. The information we collect may be used to tailor content and target our marketing regarding specific features and services.
Purpose and legal basis
Loppos processes your personal data either because you consent to it, because it is required by law or regulation, or so that Loppos can fulfil the agreements we have with you.
For the following purposes, Loppos processes your personal data if you have consented to it:
- To improve Loppos' communication, service, features and offerings.
- To keep user records up to date.
- To send newsletters and other relevant information to you.
For the following purposes, Loppos processes your personal data to fulfil a legal obligation or our agreement with you:
- To provide your account and the features you use, such as saved finds, boards and valuations.
- To be able to give you support and answer your questions.
- To fulfil Loppos' agreement or meet our commitments in relation to you.
Who can get access to your personal data?
Your personal data may be shared with parties that process personal data on behalf of Loppos, so-called data processors. These are providers of IT systems and other IT support. The companies provide services, technical solutions and platforms for Loppos' work with the users in our database. These parties are bound by confidentiality and may not use the data for their own purposes. We never sell your personal data.
Sub-processors and third parties
To run the app and the website we use carefully selected providers that process data on our behalf. They may only use the data to deliver their service to us:
- Supabase — database, authentication and backend hosting
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- Resend — sending email (e.g. confirmations and notifications)
- Anthropic — AI analysis used to produce valuations
- Google Gemini — AI analysis used to produce valuations
- Google Vision — image analysis and text recognition (OCR)
- SerpApi — image and product search to identify items
- Google Maps — maps and location data
- Apple, Google and Facebook — sign-in (Sign in with Apple / Google / Facebook)
Processing of photos with AI
When you scan an item, the photo is sent to third-party AI and image-analysis services (Anthropic, Google Gemini, Google Vision and SerpApi) to identify the item and produce a valuation. The images are processed for this purpose and are not used to train the providers' models.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We never process your personal data for longer than is permitted under applicable law, regulation, practice or official decision. Data linked to your account is stored for as long as you are a user with us. You can contact us at any time to withdraw your consent and request that we delete your personal data in whole or in part — you can also delete your account directly in the app.
Children and minors
Loppos is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access information about which personal data Loppos processes about you and to request rectification of your personal data. Under certain conditions — for example if you withdraw your consent, object to Loppos' processing of personal data or consider the processing unnecessary for the stated purposes — you have the right to request erasure or restriction of your personal data, or to object to our processing. Under certain conditions you also have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to Loppos.
You have the right at any time to withdraw all or part of a given consent to the processing of personal data. You also have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for newsletters and other marketing. If you have complaints about Loppos' processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the authority that handles matters concerning the processing of personal data (in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY).

How do we use cookies?
Among other things, Loppos uses session cookies to remember your login on My pages and your settings, so you don't have to make the same choices every time you visit us. We also use cookies as a basis for statistics, for example to see which pages and finds visitors look at, so we can improve the service and give better recommendations.
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which also place cookies, in order to understand how our visitors use the website. This type of cookie does not contain information that can identify who you are. We may also use third-party cookies in order to show you relevant ads about Loppos in other channels.
What kinds of personal data do we handle?
We combine your cookie code with the personal information we have about you only in cases where such information has been collected in our systems, for example if you are logged in or subscribe to our newsletter. The legal basis for this is based on our legitimate interest.
How long do we keep the information?
Loppos does not store your personal information in your cookies. With your browser you can easily remove cookies from your computer or mobile device. You can turn cookies off or choose to be notified each time a new cookie is placed. Note that certain features on our website may stop working if you choose to turn cookies off.
Services for collecting data
Google Analytics measures and analyses activity on our website, such as pages visited and behaviour history, using a cookie. We use it to improve our users' experience and measure the results of our communication.
Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We use social media to build relationships with existing and new users, for example through campaigns aimed at an audience we think is interested in Loppos. Each service may use a tracking pixel in the source code of our website. The tracking pixel helps us understand our users better and offer relevant content in each channel.
